Grandma’s Hair Mask for Healthy Hair
I will share this traditional, family hair mask recipe with you. It works wonder for your hair, makes it shiny, silky and healthy. The perfect solution for damaged hair and you don’t have to go too far for it, just into the kitchen. And yes, it is not expensive either. This all-natural homemade hair mask nourishes the scalp and hair roots. All you need are: extra virgin olive oil, egg, honey and lemon juice.
Olive Oil: acts as a natural conditioner on the hair. It has been long used in beauty care: hydrates, rejuvenates, nourishes. Olive oil works wonders for your hair providing it with certain minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids. It does’t just strengthen your roots but also boost overall health of your hair.
Egg: Rich in vitamins (B, D, A) essential fatty acids, protein and minerals. The protein helps strengthen the roots, the fatty acids make it a natural hair conditioner. B12 helps add volume while minerals will restore luster to your hair.
Honey: Moisturizes. It is full of nutrients, anti-oxidants, enzymes and healing compounds. Honey makes your scalp healthier and helps the stronger hair grow.
Lemon: Rich in vitamin C and closes the pores in the scalp. Note, that lemon can visibly lighten your hair. Unless you don’t want this effect, be cautious with this compound.
The Golden Rules of Shiny Hair
Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of honey and half lemon juice. (This amount is enough for my shoulder length, thin hair.)
Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair, cover it with a plastic shower cap and wrap it around with a warm towel. Keep it on your hair at least 2-3 hours before washing, but for the best result you can sleep in it.
If your hair is damaged use this mask 1 time a week, and after 1 month in every 2 weeks. If your hair is normal, just you want an extra glow, use this mixture twice a month.
Always use unrefined, organic, fair trade ingredients. Take care of your health and our environment. Always take allergy test – if you have reaction avoid these ingredients.
